Ayoze Pérez Gutiérrez (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, 29th July 1993) is a fast and very skillful right-footed forward. He is versatile, and can play as an out-and-out striker, number 10 or drift into the centre from the left.
The Tenerife-born attacker was part of the Spain national team squad that won the European Championship in 2024, an outstanding achievement that capped off his fantastic season with Real Betis. The Spain international scored a total of 15 goals in 59 matches for Betis since joining in January 2023.
Before returning to Spanish football, Ayoze enjoyed a large spell in England, where he played for Leicester City (114 appearances and 15 goals) and Newcastle United (195 matches and 48 goals). Prior to signing for Newcastle he played for CD Tenerife, where he rose through the ranks and made his first steps in professional football.
