The Argentine midfielder will play for Villarreal on loan until the end of the current 2021/22 season
Villarreal CF and Tottenham Hotspur FC have reached an agreement for the loan of the footballer Giovani Lo Celso, who will play for the Yellows until the end of the current 2021/22 season.
The midfielder, who is currently with Argentina, will join the Yellows after the match he will play with the Albiceleste against Colombia on Wednesday 2nd February. The club will soon confirm the date for his official presentation as a Villarreal CF player.
Giovani Lo Celso, talent, vision and a final ball
Giovani Lo Celso (Rosario, 09/04/1996) is a midfielder with great technical quality. He has a skilful left foot and is a specialist in playing the perfect final ball. His dribbling skills, vision and his eye for a goal make him a complete midfielder.
The new Yellows footballer is an Argentina international, with whom he lifted the Copa América (2021). Representing his country, he has played a total of 36 matches, scoring twice.
The Argentine, who joins from Tottenham Hotspur, also has played for Paris Saint-Germain, Real Betis and Rosario Central. In his spell with the Andalusian side, in the 2018/19 season, the midfielder played 45 games, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists.
As well as the Copa América (2021), he has also won two French leagues (2017/18 and 2018/19), two Coupes de France (2016/17 and 2017/18), two French Coupes de la Ligue (2016/17 and 2017/18) and two French Super Cups (2017/18 and 2018/19).
