The Dutch winger joins Villarreal CF from AFC Bournemouth
Villarreal CF and AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement for the transfer of Arnaut Danjuma, who will play for the Yellows for the next five seasons (until June 2026). The Dutch winger will train this Thursday for the first time under Unai Emery’s instructions for the first time. Then, at 12:30pm CEST, he will be presented officially as a player in an event only open to the press.
Speed and skill for the Yellows’ attack
Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (Lagos, Nigeria, 31/01/1997) is a right-footed winger who plays on the left wing. Among his main virtues are his strength in one-on-ones and his excellent ball carrying ability. He is also a versatile player who arrives in the final third well and has a goalscoring capability.
The new Villarreal player has Nigerian and Dutch nationality. However, despite being born in Lagos (Nigeria), Danjuma has represented the Netherlands at international level, with two caps, scoring once for the Oranje.
In Bournemouth, he played a total of 52 games. Before joining the English side, the young Dutch player represented Club Brugge (25 matches) and NEC (46 matches), the team he joined from the PSV Eindhoven youth teams.
