The Yellows have reached an agreement with the full-back from Seville for the next five seasons
Villarreal have reached an agreement with Alberto Moreno for him to be a Yellows player for the next five seasons. With just his contract to be signed, the defender from Seville arrives at the Estadio de la Cerámica as a free agent, after completing his contract with Liverpool in June.
The Andalusian defender, who has already passed his medical with Villarreal, will sign his medical first thing on Wednesday and will train, at 9:30am CEST, at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) alongside his new team-mates. After the training session, he will be presented to the press at 12:30pm CEST at the press room at the Training Ground.
Alberto Moreno, speed and talent for the left flank
Alberto Moreno Pérez (05/07/1992) is a proven left-back with attacking qualities. He is a Spain international, and won the Champions League with Liverpool last season. Other trophies under his belt include a Europa League, which he lifted with Sevilla FC; and a European U21 Championship.
The Andalusian footballer is a complete full-back with a great ability to get forward in attack. As well as adding width to his team, Moreno is a great assister of goals. Throughout his career, he has provided 16 assists and has scored a total of six goals. After playing 141 games in five seasons with Liverpool FC, the defender returns to Spanish football, which he knows well after his time at Sevilla, where he came through the youth ranks and for whom made a total of 62 official appearances
