In total, Marcelino was in charge of Villarreal for 177 games.
Throughout his professional career, Marcelino has managed teams such as CD Lealtad, Sporting de Gijón B, Sporting de Gijón, Recreativo de Huelva, Racing Santander, Real Zaragoza, Sevilla, Valencia, Athletic and Olympique de Marseille.
