Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Georgian striker, who signs a six-year deal
Villarreal CF and Olympique Lyonnais have reached an agreement for the transfer of Georges Mikautadze. The Georgian forward will play for the Yellows for the next six seasons, until June 2031.
The new attacking addition will join the Submarine after completing his international duties with Georgia, who play two official matches during the current international break.
Georges Mikautadze (Lyon, France, 31/10/00) is a skilful Franco-Georgian attacker who can operate as a centre-forward or left winger. He combines finishing ability, quality, vision and superb ball control. Known for creating advantages and generating dangerous chances around the box, he also stands out for his power and his impressive knack for scoring goals or providing assists.
At just 24 years old, Mikautadze is already one of the leaders of his national team, with 20 goals in 37 appearances for Georgia. At club level, he has represented Olympique Lyonnais, FC Metz, Ajax and RFC Seraing.
With this ambitious signing, Villarreal CF strengthen their attacking line by bringing in one of the most talented strikers in European football. An exciting addition to boost the team’s level ahead of a demanding season in which the Yellow Submarine will compete in the UEFA Champions League, as well as LALIGA and the Copa del Rey.
