The Brazilian player joins the Yellows to reinforce the attack
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Brazilian attacking midfielder Thaís Reiss, who joins Villarreal Women with the aim of helping the team achieve their goals for the season.
Reiss joins the Yellows as a free agent, her last team being Orlando Pride, who compete in the National Women’s Soccer League (the top flight in the United States).
Quality and pace in attack
Thaís Reiss de Araújo (09/12/1999, Curitiba, Brazil) is a young player who stands out for her technical prowess and left-footed ability. The attacker, with a large stature at 1.75m, is capable of bringing intensity, pace and danger to the Yellows in attack.
Thaís has played in the lower categories of the Brazilian national team, with her participation in the U17s and U20s teams standing out. Also, during her time in the United States, due to her university studies, the Brazilian played for the North Florida Ospreys. There, in 77 games, she scored 42 goals and provided 18 assists, and was named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year in 2020. After finishing her studies, Reiss moved on to play for the Orlando Pride in 2022.
