Norwegian Alexander Sorloth will wear yellow for the next five seasons following a transfer agreement with RB Leipzig

Viking blood for the Submarine’s attacking line. Villarreal CF and German club RB Leipzig have reached an agreement for the Yellows to sign Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth, who will represent the club for the next five seasons. A major addition for Quique Setién’s side, joining the already known signings of Ben Brereton Díaz, Denis Suárez, Santi Comesaña, Ilias Akhomach and Ramón Terrats.

The Norwegian is a powerful centre forward to lead the line at 1.95m tall, a powerful runner and an intimidating presence in the box. A top left-footed No.9 for the Yellows in attack.

Sorloth will train with his new teammates this Wednesday morning at the Training Groun (9:30am CEST) and could even travel with the team later in the afternoon for this week’s friendlies against Dutch side Feyenoord and Portuguese side Sporting CP.

Alexander Sorloth (Trondheim, 5th December 1995), who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Real Sociedad, scoring 24 goals in 90 appearances, came through the youth ranks at Rosenborg and has since played for Bodo Glimt, Groningen, Midtjylland, Crystal Palace, Gent and Trabzonspor. With the Turkish team his career took off, scoring 33 goals in 49 games.

In addition, Sorloth is an international with the Norwegian national team, with whom he has played 49 official matches, scoring 16 goals. He has also played for his country at youth level.
