The winger from Côte d’Ivoire extends his stay with Villarreal CF by two more seasons
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Nicolas Pepe to extend his contract with the club until June 2028. The winger from Côte d’Ivoire, who had one year left on his current deal, has signed on for two additional seasons with the Yellow Submarine.
Nicolas Pepe (Mantes-la-Jolie, France, 29/05/1995) joined Villarreal CF as a free agent last summer and has become an important player for Marcelino García Toral. In his first season as a groguet, he made 28 appearances (1,496 minutes), scoring three goals and providing six assists.
He was particularly influential in the final stretch of the campaign, playing a key role as the team secured UEFA Champions League qualification.
Before joining Villarreal CF, Pepe played for Arsenal FC, OGC Nice, Trabzonspor, LOSC Lille and Angers SCO.
Nicolas Pepe is also a Côte d’Ivoire international. He made his debut for The Elephants in 2016 and has since earned 47 caps, registering 11 goals and four assists for his national team.
