Nicolas Pepe received the LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for August ahead of the match against CA Osasuna. The Ivorian forward proudly presented the accolade to the Yellows’ supporters, who responded with a loud and well-deserved ovation.
The Villarreal striker was presented with the award by Marcos Senna, club legend and current ambassador. This prestigious recognition comes after Pepe’s spectacular start to the season, in which he scored two goals and provided one assist in the first three league fixtures. In the opener against Real Oviedo at La Cerámica, he set up the second goal in the win. On Matchday 2 away to Girona FC, he opened his account with a strike in the emphatic 0-5 victory, before netting again in the third round against RC Celta to rescue a valuable draw.
The Villarreal CF No.19 has claimed the LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for the first time in his career, finishing ahead of finalists Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Pere Milla (RCD Espanyol) and Nico Williams (Athletic Club).
