The Mexican international midfielder has signed for the next five seasons
Pending on his medical and the signing of the contract, Villarreal CF and FC Barcelona have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jonathan dos Santos Ramirez, 24, who will play for the Submarine for the next five seasons.
The Mexican, who will play along with his brother Giovani, is a versatile midfielder noted for its high technical quality with the ball, vision and physical deployment. He can play in the midfield and also in a more offensive position.
Jonathan is a player formed in the academy of Barça, and made his debut with the first team on October 28th, 2009 in the King’s Cup at 19 years of age. He was part of the most successful generation of players in the history of the club in recent years. He also played 7 international games with the Mexican national team, with which he was pre selected for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
He will be presented tomorrow at 20:15 at El Madrigal.
The new Villarreal player will be presented on Thursday at 20.15 at an open door event in the stadium, so that the yellow fans can give him a warm welcome.
