Villarreal CF and FC Andorra reach an agreement for the transfer of the Catalan defender
Villarreal CF and FC Andorra have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jan Encuentra, who will join the Yellow Submarine’s reserve team under the management of David Albelda. The 20-year-old defender has signed for the next three seasons and will remain linked to the club until 2029.
Jan Encuentra (Lleida, 05/05/2006) is a right-back with experience and proven ability in Primera Federación. The Catalan footballer took his first steps in the youth ranks of Real Betis before joining FC Andorra in 2025.
During the 2025/26 season, the defender played on loan for Unionistas de Salamanca to continue his development. At the Salamanca-based club, the right-back enjoyed an impressive campaign, making 22 appearances in Primera Federación and contributing two goals and two assists.

With the arrival of Jan Encuentra to strengthen the defensive line, David Albelda’s side confirm their first signing ahead of the new season. The Mini Submarine adds youth and talent to reinforce the right-back position.
