Villarreal have reached an agreement with the Catalan side for the Basque midfielder
Villarreal and Girona have reached a transfer agreement for Iván Martín, who leaves Villarreal CF after 11 years at the club.
Iván Martín Núñez (Bilbao, Biscay, 19th February 1999) arrived at Villarreal in 2012 – when he was just 13 years old – to continue growing and developing as a player in the academy.
Martín progressed through the different categories of the yellow youth ranks until he reached the B team, where he became a key player during the seasons in which he wore the yellow jersey, reaching, for example, the final of the playoff for promotion to the second division against UD Melilla in the 2018/19 campaign, which would also be the season of his debut with the first team in the Copa del Rey round of 16 against RCD Espanyol in Cornellà (3-1).
