The right winger from Galicia arrives on loan at the Mini Submarine from Red Bull Leipzig
Hugo Novoa (A Coruña, 24/01/2003) is a new Villarreal B player. The right winger joins the Mini Submarine on loan until the end of the season after the agreement reached between Villarreal CF and Red Bull Leipzig, which includes a purchase option. The Galician player was previously playing on loan at Eredivisie side Utrecht.
Youth and experience in the fight for survival
Villarreal B’s main objective is survival in the challenging LaLiga Hypermotion and Hugo Novoa is going to be an important asset in this fight. The Spain U21 international played six games in the first half of the season for Utrecht, two of them as a starter against Ajax and Fortuna Siittard. Last season, he played for Basel on loan from January, competing in the UEFA Europa Conference League, although he had previously made his debut in the IEFA Champions League and IEFA Europa League with Leipzig. Novoa, despite his youth, has accumulated experience in various top-level competitions.
