Villarreal CF and the Ivorian defender part ways after a season and a half in his second spell
Villarreal CF and Eric Bailly have parted ways. The club would like to thank him for his effort, dedication and professionalism during his second spell with the Yellow Submarine.
The Ivorian defender returned to Villarreal in December 2023, just weeks after Marcelino took charge of the team. At the time, the Submarine was going through a difficult stretch in LaLiga, and Bailly played a key role in the team’s resurgence during the second half of the campaign.
Since his return, Bailly made 25 appearances, adding to the 47 he had already played in his first spell at the club.
