The footballer from Tenerife will wear yellow for the next four seasons

Villarreal CF and Real Betis have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ayoze Pérez. The footballer from Tenerife will represent the Yellow Submarine for the next four seasons, until June 2028.

Ayoze Pérez, after signing his contract with the club, has met his new-team mates and will train tomorrow alongside the tomorrow. His official presentation as a new Villarreal player will be this Friday at 1pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica press room, exclusively to media, where he will accompanied by a member of the Villarreal CF board of directors.

A prestigious signing for the Submarine

Ayoze Pérez Gutiérrez (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, 29th June 1993) is a quick right-footed striker, who is direct and skilful. He is a versatile footballer, who can play as the main reference point in attack, as a second striker, or cutting inside from the left flank.

Last July, the forward was named Euro 2024 champions with Spain, a prestigious achievement which rounded off a fantastic season with Real Betis. The Spain international scored a total of 15 goals in the 59 matches he played with the Andalusian side since joining in January 2023.

Before returning to Spanish football, Ayoze spent a long time of his career in England, where he played for Leicester City and Newcastle United. He arrived in England on the back of a spell at CD Tenerife, where he made his professional debut.
