The Catalan defender arrives at the club on loan from Almería
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with UD Almería over a loan deal for Arnau Solà, who will wear the Yellow Submarine’s colours in the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Born in Amposta, Tarragona, Arnau Solà Mateu (04/04/2003) joins Villarreal to reinforce the left side of the B team’s backline. Solà rose through the ranks at FC Barcelona to make it to the club’s B team, where he made 11 appearances in Primera RFEF.
In the 2022/23 season, he signed for UD Almería. He has spent the last two seasons on loan, firstly at Real Murcia, where he played 26 times in Primera RFEF and one in the Copa del Rey, before moving to Cartagena in the 2023/24 season, where he gained experience in the Segunda División by making 18 appearances.
Solà has also represented La Roja, as he made two appearances for the Spain U19 team in 2021.
