Villarreal CF and Jiangsu Suning have come to an agreement for the loan of Colombian striker Roger Martínez, who will play for the Submarine until the end of the season. The forward will be presented at today’s match against RC Deportivo de la Coruña from the VIP stand at the Estadio de la Cerámica and will be officially presented as a Villarreal player in front of the media tomorrow at 12:30pm in the press room at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).
Roger Beyker Martínez (Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, 23rd June 1994) is a young and promising Colombian forward who comes to Villarreal CF from Jiangsu Suning, where he has played for a season and a half in China’s top flight, scoring 20 goals in 42 matches.
He made his debut in Argentinean football at just 19 years old for Racing Club de Avellaneda, where he scored 8 goals. In addition, durng his time in Argentina he also played on loan for Club Atlético Aldosivi. Despite being young, he is an international for the Colombia senior national team, having already played 7 matches and scored 1 goal.
Power and agility are two of the best qualities of the talented Colombian striker, who also stands out for his quick dribbling and ability to score goals.
