The club and the Manager have come to an agreement for next season
Villarreal CF and Fran Escribá have come to an agreement for the renewal of the Yellow Submarine boss’s contract for the 2017/18 season. President Fernando Roig and the Manager will speak at a press conference this Thursday at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) at 12pm CET. Fran Escribá will continue to count on the support of Assistant Manager Josep Alcácer and Fitness Coach José Mascarós.
Fran Escribá came to Villarreal CF last summer and under his management the team finished in fifth place in the LaLiga Santander. In fact, he made history as the Manager to have achieved the highest total of points in his first season in charge of the Submarine, with 67 points in the 2016/17 campaign. It should also be mentioned that this fact includes coaches that finished their first complete season in charge after arriving at the club.

CAREER
Fran Escribá Segura (03/05/65, Valencia) started his Managerial career as an Assistant Manager for Getafe CF, Valencia CF, SL Benfica and Atlético de Madrid. In the 2012/13 season his started his career as a Manager for Elche CF, a position he held until the 2014/15 season. He helped Elche CF to get promoted to the First Division as champions of the Second Division A in 2012/13. During the 2015/16 season Escribá managed Getafe CF.
