Jaume Costa will not continue at Villarreal after ten seasons representing the Yellows
Jaume Costa will not continue at Villarreal CF next season. The footballer from Valencia and the Yellow club part ways after ten seasons in which Jaume has played a total of 267 matches for the first team, making him the eighth player to have made the most official appearances in the club’s history. A real Yellow Submarine legend.
A role model on and off the pitch, Jaume Costa has earned the love of Yellows fans thanks to his fight, pride and sense of belonging to the colours he has defended for more than a decade.
The Valencian defender joined the Villarreal reserves in 2010, where thanks to his effort and good performances he earned himself a place in the first team. As a Villarreal CF player, he became one of the heroes of the promotion to the top flight, as a key player who has since helped the club qualify for European competitions numerous times. After ten seasons with the Submarine, Jaume Costa goes out on a high after winning the UEFA Europa League against Manchester United on 26th May in Gdansk.
