The Argentine goalkeeper has signed for Villarreal CF for the next four seasons
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Real Sociedad for the transfer of Gerónimo Rulli, who will wear yellow for the next four seasons. The Argentine goalkeeper will train with his new team-mates tomorrow, under the guidance of Unai Emery, and will be presented in an event exclusively for media in the coming days.
Rulli, reinforcing the Yellows’ options in goal
Gerónimo Rulli (La Plata, Argentina, 20/05/92) is a goalkeeper who stands out due to his height, quick reflexes and ability when the ball is in the air.
Formed at the Estudiantes de la Plata academy, and a senior international with Argentina, Rulli, aged 28, has a lot of experience in the top flight of Spanish football, after arriving at Real Sociedad in 2004, for whom he played 149 games. He spent last season on loan at Montpellier, where he played 25 times and was named as the third best goalkeeper in Ligue 1.
