The Congo native has been the 2015/16 LaLiga season’s best sursprise according to fans
Villarreal CF’s Congolese striker, Cédric Bakambu, received the Facebook Football Awards’ Most Imporved Player for the 2015/16 LaLiga season. The award was given to the Congo star by Marcos Senna, ex Yellow player and current member of the club’s Institutional Relations Department.
Cédric Bakambu is part of the list of this season’s award winners for being one of LaLiga’s sensations. The Villarreal striker has had a brilliant debut season for the Submarine, scoring no less than 22 goals (12 in LaLiga, 9 in the UEFA Europa League and 1 in the Copa del Rey).
The Facebook Football Awards are the only awards in which fans from all over the world decide which players, managers and clubs have been the best throughout the season. The nominees were selected by an expert panel of judges at ‘Marca’, but the final winners have been chosen from the fans votes exclusively.
