The Democratic Republic of the Congo striker played 77 minutes against Morocco (1-0)

Villarreal’s French-Congolese forward, Cédric Bakambu, was in the starting eleven for the DR Congo in their opening match of the African Cup of Nations against Morocco (1-0). Bakambu played the first 77 minutes of the match before being replaced by his teammate Mbokani. The only goal of the match was scored by Kabananga in the 54th minute after a mistake made by the Moroccan goalkeeper.  

The DR Congo’s next match in the African Cup of Nations, that is being held in Gabon, will be against the Ivory Coast this Friday 20th January (5pm CET).
