The Yellows will recognise the Catalan striker for becoming the club’s all-time top scorer
Villarreal CF will pay a well-deserved tribute to Gerard Moreno ahead of the league match against FC Barcelona, which will take place this Sunday at 5.30pm CEST at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
In the run-up to the match, after the players have taken to the pitch, the club will honour the Catalan player for having scored an impressive 107 goals for the Yellows, making him Villarreal CF’s all-time top scorer.
A fantastic opportunity for the fans to also give Gerard a standing ovation for the milestone reached on the last matchday, as well as for his impressive career with Villarreal CF, with whom he has lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy (2021) and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League (2022). These two impressive sporting achievements are added to important individual merits he has achieved in yellow: best player of the season in the UEL 2020/21, being among the 30 finalists for the Ballon d’Or or winning the Trofeo Zarra twice (2020 and 2021)’.
