The users of the centre will craft a handmade mosaic for the visiting teams at La Cerámica during the 2025/26 season
Villarreal CF has entrusted its institutional gift to the Vila-real Occupational Centre (Centre Ocupacional de Vila-real). The users of this centre, which supports people with functional diversity, will handcraft the gift that the club presents to visiting teams at the Estadio de la Cerámica in the various competitions (LALIGA, Champions League and Copa del Rey) throughout the 2025/26 season.
The gift consists of an original scarf made using the traditional mosaic technique. It will feature both Villarreal’s colours and those of the rival team, as a symbol of unity and sportsmanship between the two clubs.
This initiative is part of the Endavant Solidaritat project, through which the Yellows support associations and special centres in their community. Villarreal CF decided to give a new focus to the institutional gift, dedicating it to raising awareness and supporting different social causes.
The success of ‘Canine Art’ in collaboration with AUPA
During the 2024/25 season, the club promoted the adoption of abandoned dogs thanks to its close collaboration with AUPA and the launch of ‘Arte Canino’ (Canine Art). This original initiative highlighted the dogs from the Valencian animal shelter, who themselves created the gifts for the visiting teams by making unique designs with their paws dipped in paint, later transferred onto ceramic pieces.
What’s more, each dog was featured in the matches played by the Submarine at La Cerámica, gaining visibility to encourage their adoption.
The initiative was a resounding success, directly helping to achieve more adoptions. One particularly moving case was Neo, a young puppy who found a new home with a family of Villarreal season-ticket holders after being the star of the first game of the sason against Atlético de Madrid.
The Vila-real Occupational Centre, more than three decades of excellent work
The Vila-real Occupational Centre has been in operation since 1992. It is a public centre under the Vicepresidencia y Conselleria de Servicios Sociales, Igualdad y Vivienda (Vice-presidency and Department of Social Services, Equality and Housing), providing care for people with functional diversity.
Its aim is to offer therapeutic occupation, professional training and social skills to foster personal development, employability and social inclusion. The centre works to prevent situations of vulnerability through strategies that empower individuals and promote autonomy, while offering training, occupational, cultural, rehabilitative, social, recreational, sporting and socio-educational activities.
