The left-sided player, who was under contract until 2025, has extended his time at the club for another season

Villarreal CF and Alfonso Pedraza have reached an agreement for the Spanish footballer to renew his contract with the club until 30th June 2026. The Yellows No.24 had a deal with the Submarine until 2025, and has extended his contract for another season.

A player formed in the Yellows Academy

The Spaniard, who came through the Yellows Academy, joined Villarreal CF’s youth system in 2011 from Séneca CF. In the youth setup, he shone as one of the brightest young prospects in Spain. With the U19s (Juvenil A), he won the league and the Copa de Campeones. That same season, aged just 18, he made his first-team debut against Valencia CF at Mestalla.

Next season, he stepped up to Villarreal B, where he stood out in a team that finished second in the league and played the promotion play-offs as the Mini Submarine tried to get into Segunda.

Aged 26, the footballer has represented the first team on 135 occasions, scoring ten goals and providing 16 assists. In the 21/22 season, he has stood out in terms of goalscoring, scoring four goals despite being left-back.

He’s also spent time on loan at Real Betis, Deportivo Alaves, CD Lugo and Leeds United.
