A total of 1,400 young footballers have enjoyed playing at Villarreal CF’s sports facilities
The Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer brought fun and football to Vila-real last weekend (30th June to 2nd July). The most important tournament of the summer brought together a total of 1,400 young participants, with 85 teams.
For a few days, Vila-real became the capital of the best youth football, bringing together a total of more than 15,000 participants from Friday to Sunday in the four sports venues located in the municipality of Vila-real.
The tournament was attended by a wide variety of teams from the Region of Valencia, but there were also teams from other regions such as Catalonia, the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid and even international teams from Jordan, Costa Rica, the United States and East Asia.
In addition to experiencing the best football throughout the weekend, the participating teams enjoyed several exclusive events such as a grand welcome ceremony at the Estadio de la Cerámica and an exclusive cocktail party at the Restaurante Maya in Benicàssim. On Sunday 2nd July, the trophies were also awarded to the champions.
The champions per age group were the following:
- U8s: FTA 380
- U9s: Unión Molinense CF
- U10s: Endeka Sports FC Élite
- U12s: CPT El Pato
- Womens U12s: CD Benicarló
- U14s: FTA 380
- U16s: Fut D’Or Lleida
- U19s: SEL Valencia EC
