The B team beat FC Andorra, a tough opponent
Villarreal B beat FC Andorra (3-0) in their fifth pre-season test; the second and last at home. An own goal, one from Villarreal full-back Marcos Sánchez and another from Jonny Arriba in the final stretch gave the Mini Submarine another victory.
The first chance came after just three minutes. Jorge Pascual chested the ball down inside the box and his subsequent shot went narrowly wide. On the stroke of half-time, Rodri was unable to get on the end of a bouncing ball from inside the area.
For the second half, there was a change in goal and Rubén Gómez soon made a couple of good saves. Jorge Pascual had Ratti stretching in a shot at the top corner, but it lacked power. From the resulting corner, Ratti put through his own net after Espigares hit the crossbar. Two minutes later, full-back Marcos Sánchez made his debut for the B team to make it 2-0 from a one-on-one after receiving a pass into space. In the final stretch, Arriba cut off a pass from the goalkeeper and finished the game off with a beautiful lob.
Thus, the B team won in a new test of a pre-season that is leaving very good sensations.
