Roberto Bautista, a Yellow from birth
Roberto Bautista Agut (Benlloch, Castellón, 14th April 1988) has been linked to Villarreal CF his entire life. As a child, he trained in the youth ranks of the Yellows Academy until being a teenager. After swapping the football for a tennis racket, he has always proudly carried the Groguet feeling with him. It was in 2020 when the bond between the tennis player and the club became even stronger, as he joined the Endavant Esports programme, becoming one of its leading ambassadors.
Among the most notable milestones of the Castellón-born tennis player’s career is reaching ninth place in the ATP rankings in 2019, the highest ranking of his career. That same year, he reached the Wimbledon semi-finals and was crowned Davis Cup champion with the Spanish national team. In December 2019, he was awarded the Villarreal CF gold badge and the Endavant Award for Sporting Merit.
