All eight players have featured for their national teams
The eight Villarreal CF players who were called up by their national teams have now completed all the matches scheduled for the current international window.
Yeremy Pino represented Spain, taking part in the win against Norway (3-0) and in the defeat against Scotland. With the U21s, Álex Baena made two starts in the matches against Switzerland (3-2) and France (0-0).
Meanwhile, Argentina’s Juan Foyth and Gio Lo Celso were involved in one of the Albiceleste’s two matches. The midfielder started the friendly against Curaçao and the defender came on in the second half.
Samu Chukwueze started the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau, while Aïssa Mandi was in the starting line-up for the first of Algeria’s wins over Niger (2-1).
In addition, Johan Mojica played all 90 minutes of Colombia’s 2-2 draw with South Korea. Finally, Iker Álvarez played the two full matches against Romania (0-2) and Kosovo (0-0).
