Ligia ‘Gigi’ Elena Moreira Burgos (Buena Fé, Ecuador, 19/03/1992) came through the youth system of several teams in her home country. After a brief time at Patriotas in Colombia and São José in Brazil, Gigi decided to make the move to the Spanish league, joining Real Oviedo at age 27. Since then, she has continued to develop her career in Spain. It is worth noting that Gigi is a full international for Ecuador, has worn the captain's armband for her country, and played in the World Cup held in Canada in 2015.
