The coach from Burgos acknowledged that the team needs to improve and lower the pressure levels
Villarreal CF head coach José Rojo ‘Pacheta’ appeared before the media to analyse the 1-1 draw against Deportivo Alavés. The head coach was critical after the match at La Cerámica: “We’ve spent two weeks training other concepts to make the team feel confident, with and without the ball. It didn’t work out well. We’re trying to play with our hearts and we’ve been too tight. We are not calm in the game. We lacked clarity.”
Similarly, Pacheta was grateful to the fans for their support during the match: “We offered little and they helped us a lot. We need to find our game in the final stretch. We need to accumulate more goal scoring opportunities.”
The coach was also critical and admits that he is worried about the sensations of his team: “We are nervous. We’ve lacked composure. I’m worried about the way we look. The feelings are not good. But we have to keep working. We have to work harder until we can win. We’ll keep trying things until we find the key.”
