Moi Gómez is being on of the stars of the start of the league season. The midfielder, who scored yesterday against Madrid, has two goals and two assists from his first three LaLiga games.
The Yellows No.23 can’t hide his satisfaction: “I’m very happy to have helped the team in these opening games. Against Madrid we got a point, but the team put in a great shift. We knew that we were facing one of the best teams, we knew how to deal with pressure, and at the end we came away with a bittersweet point.”
He believes the team deserved more against Real Madrid: “We put in a great performance. We know that they could attack very quickly if we lost the ball in the middle of the pitch. We need to start getting the three points, but I’m happy with the work we put in. The season has just started, there’s a lot to play for.”
Next up for the Yellows will be a game against Leganés at Butarque (14th September). “The international break will help us recharge batteries. This week will be a bit calmer and will help us train and prepare the upcoming game against Leganés, “he concluded.
