The Villarreal B head coach trusts his side to give their all against the league leaders (Sunday, 12pm CET)
Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez appeared before the media this Friday to analyse the current situation of the MinI Submarine, who face Real Murcia this Sunday at 12pm CET.
“The great news is that we have Requena back, who is an important player for us, but he is not ready for the whole game. Valou and Cristo are both struggling with injuries,” he said in his initial comments.
Miguel Álvarez assured that Villarreal B still have to become strong in this league: ‘It’s not easy to compete in this division. We have to do it, get people to grow and get used to the division. Our first half performance in Seville was very good and then, with little, they score goals and run you over. Those second line players have to give us more.”
With regard to Villarreal B’s next opponents, Miguel Álvarez underlines the high level shown by Murcia so far: “They are a team that is in the lead. They are the most complete team I’ve seen so far. They’ve got people used to the league and of a very high level. I hope we know how to give our best and compete well. We’ve worked well this week and we’re going to fight to win the game.”
