The coach from Gijón has congratulated his players for the match against Sevilla
Villarreal CF head coach Marcelino García Toral spoke to the media at the press conference following the 1-1 draw against Sevilla FC.
Marcelino, despite assuring that they came to Seville to get three points, congratulated his team for the game: “I’m very happy. Today’s game showed us where we are heading and I can see that we’re on the right track. I want to congratulate all the players because we played a great game today. I am very satisfied and we deserved to win”.
Finally, on the controversial goal disallowed to Ben Brereton that prevented Villarreal from winning at the death, the yellow coach explained: “The referee didn’t give me any explanation because I didn’t ask him for one either, but, in my opinion, there was insufficient reason to call a foul.”
