Villarreal Academy held an ID Camp in the USA exclusively for players from the Yellows partner academies in North America

Villarreal’s North American partner academies got together over Christmas to enjoy some “fútbol” in Las Vegas. Villarreal Academy held an ID Camp from 27th to 29th December in the famous city in Nevada with players coming from the Yellows’ nine partner academies in the USA: in Virginia, Nebraska, North Carolina, New York, Texas, Indiana, Las Vegas and Utah, and from four academies in Canada: in Vancouver (British Columbia), Edmonton (Alberta), Brandon (Manitoba) and Montreal (Quebec).

During the three intense and fun days of camp players were trained by Villarreal CF coaches Carlos Ortiz and Alejandro Rodríguez and under the supervision of David Navarro, Villarreal Academy technical coordinator. Thanks to this event, the Villarreal North American family got to know each other, play together, form friendships and share their passion for the Yellow Submarine.

Male and female players participated in the ID Camp in the U13 and U19 age groups. The best players were selected in each age group to represent Villarreal CF in the Villarreal Academy North America Select Team. This new and exciting project will take another step forward in the near future as the newly created teams will compete in tournaments ad friendly matches wearing the Yellow Submarine jersey in North America.
