Mosquera has promised to give his best during his time at the club

Villarreal CF presented Yerson Mosquera and Gonçalo Guedes, the Submarine’s latest additions in the winter transfer window, this afternoon in the press room at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground, along with Fernando Roig Negueroles, the club’s CEO.

First of all, Fernando Roig Negueroles welcomed the Submarine’s new recruits: “We would like to welcome Gonçalo and Yerson, who made a great effort to be here today and we are convinced that they are going to contribute a lot until the end of the season.”

In his first speech, Mosquera admitted how happy he was to join a club like Villarreal: “I’m very happy to belong to this club. The attention they have given me has been perfect and I want to give the club all the help it needs and every time I am given the opportunity to give 100 per cent to get the results I need.”

Mosquera, 22 years old and 1.88m tall, has defined himself as “a very fast centre-back” and capable of playing on the left or right side of defence, something that Marcelino García will have to decide, but for which Mosquera assures to be able to give 100% and help Villarreal in the defensive aspect during the second half of the season.

“LALIGA is one of the best in the world and I hope to be competing soon. Arriving at Villarreal is an honour because it’s a club where several of my compatriots have played,” said Mosquera after being asked about his arrival in Spain and the possibility of enjoying these minutes this Saturday against FC Barcelona.

Finally, Mosquera predicted a great future for the team during the second half of the season: “All teams have better and worse moments, but the most important thing is to move forward and we have a good group capable of doing so.”
