Villarreal Women head coach Sara Monforte appeared before the media at the press conference prior to the vital clash against Atlético de Madrid, corresponding to Gameweek 29 of the 2022/23 Finetwork Liga F season. The match will take place on Saturday 13th May, at 12pm CEST, at the Mini Estadi at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground.
Working on emotions
“It’s been a week, on an emotional level, with a lot of work. On a tactical level, there’s little to improve, because we’re already at the end of the season. We have to go and enjoy the game, the people who will come and hopefully we’ll take the three points.”
Aim: survival
“It’s up to us. It doesn’t matter what the rest do. There are a lot of teams in the mix and a lot can happen in two games. We have to focus on our game and our performance and get the three points.”

“It will be a very similar game to the Real Sociedad game here. They will come here to win the game. They are coming off the back of losing to Levante Las Planas and they will come with everything. They have top individual quality. In fact, they are one of the best teams in Spain. They have nothing at stake, but they will come here to win. We have to play a similar game, create as many chances as possible and get to the end with a chance.”
