Funes Mori was one of the standout players in the Submarine’s win over Deportivo Alavés (1-2)
Villarreal defender Ramiro Funes Mori appeared in front of the media after the Yellows’ important win at Mendizorrotza (1-2): “We’re very happy. It’s always positive to get a win, and even more so in a match as difficult as this. Alavés are a very strong team from set pieces and have high-quality strikers. It wasn’t easy, but we were able to get the three points.”
On a personal level, the Argentine defender was satisfied with his performance in the game: “We competed very well. We had moments where we could play our football, but there were moments where it was more difficult. On an individual level, I’m very happy. I came up against strong strikers.”
Finally, the Yellows No.6 underlined that it was his hard work daily that led him to put in a good performance: “I always train as well as possible, every day, to be ready when it’s my moment and to give my all for Villarreal. I want to continue getting minutes and I’m excited for what’s still to come.”
