Villarreal and Castellón Airport will celebrate with a commemoration ceremony this Tuesday
Villarreal CF and Castellón Airport will, this Tuesday, hold a commemoration ceremony to mark the fourth anniversary since the opening of commercial flights from the airport, which values the Yellows as one of its main clients. The ceremony, which is set to take place at 12.30pm CET in the airport, will be attended by Aerocas managing director Joan Serafí Bernat, airport manager Ivana Guinot, Villarreal CF CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles. It will underline, in front of the media, the value of the connection for the last four years.
Ahead of the Yellows trip to Saint Petersburg for the Europa League match against FC Zenit, the first-team squad and members of the board will be involved in two commemorative photographs to celebrate this important date at the airport, before leaving for Russia (1:45pm CET).
Villarreal put on the first commercial flight from Castellón Airport on 14th January 2015, with a chartered flight heading to San Sebastián, where the Yellows faced Real Sociedad in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
