The ‘VII Trofeu Villarreal CF’ now knows its finalists. The trio of Marc, Javi and Monrabal II will face Nacho, Bueno and De la Vega in the final of the Valencian pilota competition, which will take place on Friday 19th May at 6.30pm CEST at the Trinquet Salvador Sagols. That same day will also see the third and fourth place play-off match, which will pit Puchol II, Álvaro Gimeno and Hilari against José Salvador, Pere and Carlos (4:45pm CEST).
The tournament, of escala i corda, started last Friday with an impressive match between the red team, formed by Puchol II, Álvaro Gimeno and Hilari, and the blue trio, formed by De la Vega, Nacho and Bueno. The latter won 30-60 to the delight of the spectators.
Two days later, the show returned to the Trinquet de Vila-real to celebrate the second semi-final in the middle of the patron saint’s fiestas. The blue team, made up of Marc, Javi and Monrabal II, beat the red team, made up of José Salvador, Pere and Carlos, 60-25.
