The Valencia-born goalkeeper will remain at Villarreal next season
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Carmen Carbonell to renew her contract until June 2025. The young Valencia-born goalkeeper will continue to defend the Villarreal Women’s goal next season in Primera RFEF, the second division of Spanish women’s football.
Carbonell joined the Yellow Submarine in the 2020/21 season, in which the team achieved promotion to the top-flight, and was last season one of the only players in the squad remaining from that season.
After two years of gaining experience in the B team, she is now fully established in the first team, with 44 appearances to her name.
