The Villarreal Manager praised his players’ attitude after coming back from 0-2 down
Villarreal CF Manager, Javi Calleja, said that the point picked up against SK Slavia Prague is bittersweet as the Czech side went two goals in front after just half an hour of play, before the Yellows equalised. “The game quickly became an uphill battle as a result of their two goals, but we knew how to react. In the second half we dominated and we just couldn’t quite score the decisive third goal”.
For Calleja, it’s better to see the glass as half full: “We would have loved to win. The point is bittersweet for us, but it does mean we stay as group leaders”.
Lastly, the Yellows boss stated that there will be changes in the starting eleven for the upcoming league clash against Las Palmas: “We’re playing a lot of minutes and there will be changes against Las Palmas. We have confidence in all the players”.
