Álex Baena could play in the European Championships! The academy graduate is one of the 29 players who have been called up to the Spanish national team for the continental tournament, which takes place from 14th June to 14th July.
La Roja, placed in Group B, will face Croatia, Italy and Albania in the first phase of the competition.
Álex Baena has been called up to the national team once again. The Yellow’s No.16s, a regular in the youth teams and who is beginning to make his first steps in the senior team, has worn the national jersey twice and has scored a goal. Now, he has the opportunity to put the finishing touch to his excellent season by achieving glory with the Spanish national team.
In addition, the midfielder from Roquetas de Mar could become the seventh player in the history of Villarreal CF to play in a European Championship with the Spanish national team after Senna, Capdevila and Cazorla, who won it in 2008, Bruno (2016), Pau Torres and Gerard (2021).
