With fireworks and after paying tribute to Pedraza, Parejo and Marcelino, Villarreal bring a historic season to a close
Villarreal CF brought their fantastic 2025/26 season to a spectacular close. With a fireworks display, the Yellows bid farewell to an emotional and historic campaign in which they achieved their main goal: securing qualification once again for the UEFA Champions League next season.
After the match against Atlético de Madrid at the Estadio de la Cerámica, La Morocha played and an emotional farewell was given to three key figures in the history of Villarreal CF: Alfonso Pedraza, Dani Parejo and Marcelino García Toral. All three bring to an end a successful period representing the Yellow Submarine.
The APV (Villarreal Supporters’ Association – Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF) also took the opportunity to present the fans’ awards to Gerard Moreno (best player), Pau Navarro (breakthrough player) and Georges Mikautadze (top scorer).
Finally, the team posed for a commemorative photo before the Champions League anthem began to play. We are back in the Champions League!
