The new pitch has been laid ahead of the first LALIGA match against Betis (13th August, 7:30pm CEST)
The Estadio de la Cerámica is putting the finishing touches in place for the first LaLiga match against Real Betis (13th August, 7:30pm CEST). The new pitch has already been completely installed so that it will be a real carpet throughout the coming season.
This variety of grass, called poa pratensis, has arrived directly from Plasencia (Extremadura) in 16 refrigerated lorries and has been installed over the last three days by the Spanish company Laziturri.
The new pitch at La Cerámica has been installed in preparation for the four home games that will be played in August between the first team and the reserve team. Later, it will be reinforced with a stitching system due to the number of matches that will be played at the home ground this season between LALIGA EA Sports, LALIGA Hypermotion and the Europa League.
It is worth remembering that, at the end of the 22/23 season, the previous Estadio de la Cerámica pitch hosted several events such as LaLiga Promises, the Fan Festival, the Yellow Cup Summer, the finals of the 3v3 Copa Endavant, the Staff Party and the Villarreal CF Summer Campus.
