The winger has been included in the list of 60 nominees for the award for the best young footballer on the planet

Yeremy Pino has been nominated for the Golden Boy! Like in 2021, the winger has been named part of the 60 players nominated for the prestigious award, which is given out by Italian newspaper Tuttosport to the best U21 footballer in the world.

A key player

Yeremy Pino was once again a key player in Unai Emery’s plans during the 21/22 season. At just 18 years of age and after a good start to the campaign, national team coach Luis Enrique called up the winger for the first time in October 2021, making him the 18th Villarreal player to be called up to the senior Spanish national team.

The good news did not stop at the start of the 21/222 season for Yeremy Pino as, on 15th November 2021, he renewed his contract with Villarreal CF until 2027. Pino made a total of 31 appearances last season, scoring six goals – four of them against RCD Espanyol in a stellar performance – and providing four assists.
