Villarreal B get a point from the visit of Andorra in a clash marked by heavy fog
Villarreal B earned a point from Andorra’s visit to the Estadio de la Cerámica (0-0) in a game that was dominated by the intense fog that hovered over Vila-real and which became an additional factor in the game. The Yellows had the best chances and controlled the game, but they came up against an Andorran side who were very well positioned at all times.
With two teams with a keen taste for entertainment, the first half was a battle for possession of the ball and, therefore, control of the game. With quick triangulations and looking for the ball at the back, Villarreal B had control of the game, although Andorra were able to close down well at the back as they looked for a counter attack that would give them a scare.
The Yellows came close to taking the lead on three occasions, first through Jorge Pascual and then through Álex Forés, but the score remained unchanged.
The second half followed a very similar script to the first half, with Villarreal B going all out and an orderly Andorra waiting for their chance. In the second half, the clearest chances were again for the Yellows.
The first came from Ontiveros with a hard cross after a great control in the box that went just wide of the post. The second was for Ferrari with a good header from a free kick that was saved at the last moment by the Andorran goalkeeper.
