Hundreds of followers have donated this Thursday at the Estadio de al Cerámica
Villarreal CF has once again opened the doors of the Estadio de la Cerámica for charity. For the second time this season, and for the 23rd consecutive year, the Yellows have hosted the traditional blood donation campaign organised by the Conselleria de Sanitat Universal i Salut Pública de la Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian Regional Government’s Department of Universal Health and Public Health).
This afternoon, fans can continue to come and donate at the home ground, going to Gate 34, from 4:30pm to 9pm.
An initiative with more than two decades of experience
Thanks to this initiative, framed through Endavant Solidaritat (Villarreal CF’s CSR programme), hundreds of groguets and residents of the town have answered the call for solidarity and have been able to donate blood in the heart of Vila-real.
As a reward, Villarreal CF has given each donor two tickets for the match against AD Ceuta and a 2 for 1 promotion at Inmersión Villarreal, the Villarreal CF Museum & Tour. Villarreal legend Marcos Senna and Roberto Roig, head of the Haemodonation Service of the Centre de Transfusió de la Comunitat Valenciana (Valencian Transfusion Centre), went to the donation point set up at La Cerámica to thank the fans for their contribution.
This solidarity initiative, promoted by the club, has been running for more than two decades. The Submarine have been opening the doors of their stadium since the 2001/02 season, when this collaboration was born. Since then, more than 10,000 donations have been registered at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
