Villarreal have reached an agreement with Elche CF for the transfer of the Colombian full-back<\/p>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Johan Mojica is now a Yellow! Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Elche CF for the transfer of defender Johan Mojica, who has signed with the Yellows for the next four seasons.<\/p>\r\n

The Colombian has joined to offer more options in defence and will soon join his team-mates. The details of his official presentation as a Villarreal player will soon be confirmed.<\/p>\r\n

Mojica, <\/strong>strength and attacking projection <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Johan Mojica (Santiago de Cali, Colombia, 21\/08\/1992)<\/strong>\u00a0is a left-back with great speed, power and who, despite playing in defensive, likes to join the attack and have a large influence in play at the other end of the pitch.<\/p>\r\n

At 30 years of old, the Colombian has a great deal of experience in top-level football, especially in LaLiga Santander. In total, 12 matches with Rayo Vallecano, 31 with Girona and 53 with Elche \u2013 a total of 96 games -, are the numbers of the new Villarreal signing in the top flight of Spanish football.<\/p>\r\n

The powerful Colombian defender put in a number of impressive performances, being the Elche CF who completed the most passes (1072), made the most recoveries (234) and won the most duels (127).<\/p>\r\n

Mojica also knows what it is like to play at the highest level outside Spain. In the 2020\/21 season, he played for Atalanta, with whom he played 13 Serie A matches and two UEFA Champions League games. He also has featured for his country, Colombia, on a number of occasions: ten World Cup qualifiers, four World Cup games and five friendlies are his numbers as an international.<\/p>\r\n
